Dr. F. Frik was founded by Dr. Feridun Frik, who was one of the first doctors of the newly proclaimed Republic of Turkey in 1923. Starting from 1929, Dr. Feridun Frik has worked as a director at the ‘Science Branch’ of the German Bayer Medicine Company and from 1947 to 1958 he was responsible representative of Bayer’s human, veterinary, agricultural and dental medicines in Turkey.

Dr. Feridun Frik establishes ‘Birlesik Alman Ilac Fabrikalari Ltd’ a company composed with partnership of four top German companies together with other representatives in Turkey. As of 1958, Dr. Feridun Frik had made license agreements with Smith Kline & French, Kali-Chemie and Latema.  

Dr. F. Frik Ltd. was founded on November 29, 1968. While production was done by Turkish medicine companie’s idle capacity, Dr. F.Frik proceeded its success and July 1st, 2004 ‘Dr. F. Frik Inc.’ was founded.

The oldest medical journal of Turkey, “Dirim” was first published in 1925 under the name of “Treatment Notes” by Dr. Feridun Frik. In 1935, Dr. Feridun Frik changed the name of the journal to “Dirim”, meaning rebirth. Aside from the main coverage area of the medical and scientific articles received from the physicians all over Turkey, Dirim has various other topics ranging from the recent discoveries in medicine, current affairs to Culture & Art.  Dirim has been in continuous publication since 1925.

Today, Dr. F. Frik Ilac San. A.S. is carrying on its success with its continuously developing and growing structure and product portfolio.
